Governor Riley held a news conference on Tuesday May 8th in conjunction with the BBAC Health Committee and State Public Health Officer Dr. Donald Williamson to announce a new health insurance website. The BBAC Health Committee has worked on this site for the last 18 months after 6 focus groups in the Black Belt explained the need for such a site. Alabama is now one of only a few states to have such a site, and this is the most detailed and user-friendly state health insurance webpage in the country.
